Nero to Tropic! I only got about an hour of sleep because the pain in my leg was so bad good thing we didn’t have far to go today!
We had a free hotel breakfast (toast and coffee) before hitting the road to knock out a quick 4.7 miles to Tropic.
We found a motel for the night, and filled the time before check in with a desperately needed trip to the laundromat, a package pickup at the Post Office where I got new shoes and memory cards, Bubs got a replacement trekking pole, and some other goodies (thanks Larry!), and a grocery store run.
The remainder of the day was wonderfully restful. There was even time for hot tubbing in our underwear.
Hot tubin’ in yur underwear. That’s how I do swimming when I’m camping. Nobody ever seems to mind. And it dry’s super quick when you get out.
So now I read that Bubs broke one of her poles. Question answered. Hope she can leave that duct tape off after her hot tub adventure.
