Triple 0

Day 16 – 3/29/16
0 miles
226.4 / 236.4 miles total

Welp, this was a first for me: a triple zero. I know, I know. I wanted to leave, but seriously, this was the forecast:

And then we met Carrot and Dan for breakfast. They told us they were zeroing and offered to share their motel room with us. Sold.
It was soooo nice to have a cozy room to hang out in all day, and new people to talk with!! Two other soon to be Hayduke hikers, Treehugger and Blister-free, stopped by and said hello, on their way through town while placing caches en route to Moab to start the trail in a couple days.

hiker party!

And then when we went out midday to pick up our snowshoes, which had been delivered at the restaurant, we found Joey, yet another Haydike hiker. It’s a party in town!

the mountains are under all those clouds

We also said another goodbye to our motorcycle friends, who by now must be thinking we are just homeless bums and not hikers. We are definitely leaving tomorrow. For real for real. I swear.

Though blister and shoe problems persisted, you two really experienced some real blessings too. Great examples of the hiking community.
