Cabin Fever

Day 52 – 6/13/13 – 26 mi (921.6)

What does Stryder eat for breakfast? Miles! Another good day of walking. This section the trail has been following the ridgelines, Appalachian Trail style, with pointless ups and downs and no views from the tree covered slopes.

Our camping destination for the day was the cabin at Marshall Pass, and we reached it just as thunderstorms rolled in. It was great to walk the last mile in the rain knowing we’d have a roof over our heads and a fire. We were welcomed by fellow hikers Bloodbath, Rampage, and Cherry Picker. All 8 of us are crammed in this tiny cabin for the night. The smell is almost unbearable.
