Day 79 – 7/15/11 – 15 miles (1093)

I slept from about 2pm yesterday until 6 the this morning, getting up only briefly to eat some soup. Ginger was amazingly kind to me. This evening, I discovered she sewed my pants pocket back on without even telling me!

Though not 100%, I felt much better and decided I could get through the next 15 miles to catch up with Ninja in South Lake Tahoe. The section of trail was a pain, with miles of route finding in the snow, but I made it.

I hitched into town from highway 50, and went straight to the post office to collect my many packages. I met back up with Ninja and Jamz and we went grocery shopping, then hitched back to just off the trail to a trail angel’s house. The guy isn’t even here this weekend; he just left his house unlocked and a note on the trail.
